Taking on yet another project-I am SUCH a glutton for punishment. To make a long story short, I noticed the collective sigh of relief on Twitter when we mommies and daddies put our little ones to bed, and the non-mommies and non-daddies settled down to enjoy some end of the evening chit chat. And oh my gosh, let me tell you, with four kids, a full time job, and a relationship that is modeled after a teeter-totter, BOY do I get it!
All of us, no matter our familial situation, employment circumstances, relationship standing, generation, location, or *whatever* makes us different, all of us need some contact with other adults aside from work and school and all that nonsense. While alcohol isn't necessary, the thought of a nightcap is one of peace and relaxation after a tough day.
